Two killed, one injured in Sunday morning shooting
Police said it appears a fight between two groups of customers in a store sparked a fight that led to the fatal shooting.
MINNEAPOLIS — Two people were killed and another hurt after police said an altercation in Dinkytown escalated into a shooting.
According to a press release, Minneapolis officers went to 403 14th Avenue Southeast around 2:15 Sunday morning for a report of a shooting.
Officers said they found two men in their 20s with fatal gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save their lives, police said both men died at the scene.
A third man, also in his 20s, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. He had at least one non-life-threatening gunshot wound, officials said. Police said the injured man was one of three employees working in the store when he was shot.
None of the three men are thought to be University of Minnesota students, police said.
The names of the victims have not been released as of Sunday morning.
Police said that their preliminary findings show that a fight between two groups of customers inside a store escalated into gunfire.

Police are investigating after three men were shot early on Saturday morning.
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating after three men were shot in the Ventura Village neighborhood early Saturday morning.
According to Minneapolis police, officers were called to the area around East 21st Street and South 15th Avenue around 5 a.m. Saturday.
Officers found three men had been shot. One of the men died and the two others were taken to the hospital with what police described as life-threatening injuries.
Officials said the shooting happened at a small homeless encampment.
Police have not announced any arrests as of Saturday morning.
