The best 4/20 deals to shop during the marijuana ‘holiday’ today: Fast food discounts and more
April 20, known by some as 420 Day, is an unofficial holiday in stoner culture. (The date is a reference to 420, one of the many slang terms for marijuana.) Predictably, some of the biggest and best-known brands in the marijuana industry are offering special deals to celebrate today’s marijuana “holiday.”
Not into weed? Not a problem — anyone can take advantage of today’s fast food deals, including discounts at White Castle, Del Taco and Jack in the Box.
Here are our favorite 4/20 deals you can get today, including a few deals that last until the end of the week.
Best 4/20 deals on vaporizers and infusers
While marijuana is legal (or decriminalized) in many places throughout the U.S., it remains illegal on the federal level and in some states. Be sure to check your local laws before buying.
Save 20% on Pax vaporizers
Pax, one of the best-known names in dry flower vaporizers, is offering a three-day 20% off deal on its most popular products. The sleek and compact Pax Mini is designed to heat (not burn) flower in 22 seconds, releasing its active compounds as vapor. It offers two hours of battery life on a single charge.
Regularly $125, you can take advantage of Pax’s 4/20 sale now through April 22 to bring the price down to $100. You can personalize it by adding a custom engraving for a small fee.

The more advanced Pax Plus offers more color options, adjustable bowl sizing, a multi-tool and multiple heating modes — it’s been reduced from $200 to $160.

Save $100 on a Levo II oil infuser (then save an extra 15%)
Forget the old, inefficient way of making edibles and weed-infused butter. Levo oil infusers take raw flower, activates it and infuses it into an oil of your choice. (My personal favorite is infused coconut oil — it makes the most delicious brownies.) You can save 15% off sitewide at Levo with code GREEN15, including models that have already been reduced in price.
The device looks sleek and is easy to use, with presets for different types of oil and butter. The included magnetic stir keeps your mixture moving, so there’s no manual stirring required — just add your materials, press a button, and let it do its thing. The entire activation and infusion process takes about three hours, though it varies based on what oil you’re using.
Normally $400, you can get the entry-level Levo II oil infuser device for $255 after a 15% sitewide discount. Be sure to use code GREEN15 at checkout.
Save up to 40% on Stundenglass gravity infusers and accessories
Whether you’re celebrating 4/20 with friends or simply looking to create smoke-infused cocktails such as smoked old fashioned, a piece from Stundenglass is sure to impress. Today only, the brand is offering your choice of gravity infuser for $420. This deal includes the portable Studenglass Kompact gravity infuser with carrying case and the full-size Stundenglass gravity infuser in any colorway. (Both are normally priced at $600.)
According to the brand, the infusers, made of aircraft-grade anodized aluminum and borosilicate glass, “generate kinetic motion activation via cascading water displacement, opposing airflow technology, and the natural force of gravity.” The built-in percolation system water filters and cools the smoke.
For those who prefer concentrates, both Studenglass models are compatible with the Studenglass Modul vaporizer attachment. The Modul is a direct heating source with a 2.4-inch color LCD screen, powered by battery (recharge via USB-C). You can use the dial to choose temperature settings and time settings, so you can get the perfect, customized draw. Choose between a swappable dry material (flower) tank and a concentrate tank,
Regularly $350, you can get a Stundenglass Modul for $300. It comes with a carrying case.

Gazan chefs cook up hope and humanity for online audience
Renad Atallah is an unlikely internet sensation: a 10-year-old chef, with a repertoire of simple recipes, cooking in war-torn Gaza. She has nearly a million followers on Instagram, who’ve witnessed her delight as she unpacks parcels of food aid.
We interviewed Renad via satellite, though we were just 50 miles away, in Tel Aviv. [Israel doesn’t allow outside journalists into Gaza, except on brief trips with the country’s military.]
“There are a lot of dishes I’d like to cook, but the ingredients aren’t available in the market,” Renad told us. “Milk used to be easy to buy, but now it’s become very expensive.”
I asked, “How does it feel when so many people like your internet videos?”
“All the comments were positive,” she said. “When I’m feeling tired or sad and I want something to cheer me up, I read the comments.”
We sent a local camera crew to Renad’s home as she made Ful, a traditional Middle Eastern bean stew. Her older sister Noorhan says they never expected the videos to go viral. “Amazing food,” Noorhan said, who added that her sibling made her “very surprised!”
After more than a year of war, the Gaza Strip lies in ruins. Nearly everyone has been displaced from their homes. The United Nations says close to two million people are experiencing critical levels of hunger.
Hamada Shaqoura is another chef showing the outside world how Gazans are getting by, relying on food from aid packages, and cooking with a single gas burner in a tent.
Shaqoura also volunteers with the charity Watermelon Relief, which makes sweet treats for Gaza’s children.
In his videos online, Shaqoura always appears very serious. Asked why, he replied, “The situation does not call for smiling. What you see on screen will never show you how hard life is here.”
Before dawn one recent morning in Israel, we watched the UN’s World Food Program load nearly two dozen trucks with flour, headed across the border. The problem is not a lack of food; the problem is getting the food into the Gaza Strip, and into the hands of those who desperately need it.
The UN has repeatedly accused Israel of obstructing aid deliveries to Gaza. Israel’s government denies that, and claims that Hamas is hijacking aid.
“For all the actors that are on the ground, let the humanitarians do their work,” said Antoine Renard, the World Food Program’s director in the Palestinian territories.
I asked, “Some people might see these two chefs and think, well, they’re cooking, they have food.”
“They have food, but they don’t have the right food; they’re trying to accommodate with anything that they can find,” Renard said.
Even in our darkest hour, food can bring comfort. But for many in Gaza, there’s only the anxiety of not knowing where they’ll find their next meal.
