Wichita Falls, Texas – Legacy High School’s Josh Nielsen, a long-time biology teacher in the Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD), has been honored with the Roberta Faulkner Sund Award, recognizing his outstanding dedication to science education and his students.
This special award is given each year to one exceptional science teacher in the district and includes a $1,000 prize. It was established by Dr. Harold Sund in memory of his late wife, Roberta Faulkner, who taught chemistry from 1968 to 1992 and was known for her passion for teaching and science.
