A shootout involving security guards injures one person and litters the road with bullets near a downtown Nashville lounge, police say

Nashville, Tennessee – At least 70 shots were fired in a shootout outside of a downtown Nashville nightclub early Monday morning, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

According to investigators, a fight broke out at LA Danse Nashville, located on the corner of Commerce Street and Rosa L. Parks Boulevard.

According to police, some of the people began walking towards the Tempo Hotel across the street before turning and firing back at the club.

According to authorities, security guards responded by firing back.

A woman standing near a hot dog stand was hit in the leg but is expected to recover.

According to witnesses, one of the shooters appeared to be carrying a long automatic rifle.

The front entrance of the Tempo Hotel was shot, and the street is littered with bullet casings.

Officers are reviewing surveillance footage from the area and searching for the shooters.
