Burnsville, Minnesota — Burnsville police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in an apartment complex early Sunday morning.
According to a post on X just before 1:30 a.m., the shooting occurred at the Chancellor Manor apartments. An adult male was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim later died from their injuries.
A police spokesperson told Kare 11 that the scene is active and the investigation is ongoing. They stated that no arrests had been made as of this morning.
Many of the city’s officers are attending the National Police Memorial event in Washington, D.C., so Burnsville Police said some of the investigation is being handled by neighboring police departments.
Burnsville Police said more information will be released later Sunday.
