The Mobile County Sheriff’s Department arrested a juvenile on Friday in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month.
According to a recent release, sheriffs responded to a call about a shooting at the dead end of Tom Hopkins Road on May 11, 2025, around 1:51 a.m.
The suspect, who has not been identified, is charged with felony murder and robbery.
According to the initial investigation, a Citronelle High School graduation party was held at a home on Tom Hopkins Road.
The homeowner dispersed the party around midnight, and a group of people moved to the cul-de-sac at the end of the road, according to sheriffs.
An argument ensued, and two people were shot.
The victims have been identified as Zachary Morgan (18) and Jaylon Rivers (19).
Zachary Morgan was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Jaylon Rivers was taken in a personal vehicle to a home on Wiggins Fork Road in Mt. Vernon, where he died of his injuries.
