A man has been arrested in Texas for allegedly shooting his father and stepmother. Police discovered him inside a Houston-area poker club.

Deputies from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 say they got a tip on Tuesday that Benjamin Frakes was at the Dog House Poker Club. Frakes, 39, was wanted for the murders of his father, Franklin Frakes, 72, and stepmother, Florentina Frakes, 56, at their home in Spring, Texas. Deputies said both victims were shot several times, and a handgun was found at the scene.

Benjamin Frakes faces two counts of capital murder. After his arrest on Tuesday, law enforcement searched his vehicle and discovered a “sizable” amount of cocaine, Xanax, Oxycodone, “and other unknown substances.” According to Harris County authorities, the vehicle search, which included K-9 units, turned up two guns.

Franklin and Florentina Frakes’ bodies were discovered on Friday evening, after a neighbor went to check on the couple. According to KTRK, the same neighbor informed investigators that they had heard gunshots the night before.

Deputies from Precinct 4 believe Benjamin Frakes broke into the victims’ home last Thursday and fought with his father, Franklin Frakes, injuring Benjamin Frakes.

Joshua Griffin, a neighbor, reportedly saw the married couple alive just hours before. “They were outside watering their plants. It was just a quiet night. Griffin told KHOU that nothing out of the ordinary happened.

The couple’s black Mercedes SUV is still missing, according to police.
