Falcon Heights, Minnesota — People who have a deep love for the Minnesota State Fair may struggle to get through the year between 12-day runs, daydreaming about corn dogs, crop art, and shoulder-to-shoulder lines.
Not to worry, the Great Minnesota Get-Together organizers have you covered. The Fair’s “Kickoff to Summer” returns for the fifth year in a row, serving as an appetizer to help fans survive until late August, when the real deal arrives.
Summer at the Fair kicks off on May 22-25 at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Tickets are $13 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 4 via etix.com or by calling 800-514-3849. If the event does not sell out, tickets will be available at the gate for $16. Admission is free for children under the age of four.
The kickoff will include popular food vendors such as Ball Park Cafe, Cafe Caribe, Dino’s Gyros, El Burrito Mercado, Mouth Trap Cheese Curds, and others. View the entire list here.
The fan-favorite Deep Fried Ranch Dressing from LuLu’s Public House will be available at the preview for those who missed it last year.
