The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Western Kentucky and Southeast Missouri.
Forecasters say temperatures in the warning areas could drop to 25 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit between midnight and 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Crops and other sensitive vegetation may die as a result of freezing temperatures.
The National Weather Service has also issued a Frost Advisory in Northwest Tennessee.
Forecasters say an overnight low of 33-37 degrees will cause frost, which could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation.
Recently planted outdoor plants and flowers should be protected from frost, according to the advisory, which is in effect from 3:00 to 9:00 on Tuesday morning.
