More House Democrats came out over the weekend to urge President Biden to leave the race, both publicly and during a call of leading Democrats. However, at campaign events in Philadelphia and Harrisburg, the president insisted he is not going anywhere.

New cease-fire talks are scheduled to begin this week in the war between Israel and Hamas. Last week, for the first time, Israel’s military took foreign journalists into the city of Rafah. Israel says it had to go into the city near the border with Egypt because Hamas’s four remaining battalions were hiding there. Israel’s military claims it’s killed more than 900 militants in the city; however, it’s also killed civilians.

A right-wing political party was expected to take control of the French legislature, but instead a left-wing coalition won the largest share of seats, exit polls projected. However, it is not enough to take control. President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist alliance came in second.
