Itasca County, Minnesota — A “juvenile female” was killed in a crash while being pursued by the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office, according to a press release.
According to the office, the pursuit began when a deputy saw the vehicle traveling westbound on County Road 63 without headlights.
The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled, according to the office’s release.
The vehicle crashed near Highway 6 and County Road 11. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and died as a result of the collision, according to the release.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m.
The sheriff’s office did not disclose the juvenile’s age.
