Minneapolis — A man died in the hospital hours after being shot Sunday night in south Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area near East 29th Street and Clinton Avenue shortly before 11:45 p.m. on a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they discovered a man on the ground who had been shot. He was taken to Hennepin Healthcare, where he eventually died.

“In cases like this, we need someone to speak on behalf of the deceased,” Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said in a press statement. “Even the smallest detail could be crucial as our investigators work to determine what happened to this man.”
