The Social Security Administration of the United States will pay new retirement checks during the month of April to the various beneficiaries whose payment has been previously accepted. But the advantage of having a monthly Social Security payment is that we can know in advance when we will receive the check in the following month. Payment calendar for April 2025
Not only will seniors receiving a Social Security payment get the check in April, but there will also be an additional payment arriving on the first. This additional payment is called Supplemental Security Income, and if you are approved for it, you will be able to get it in April as well as the rest of the year.
So, to be clear, here are the Social Security payout days in April and the conditions for each day:
- April 1st. Supplemental Security Income payment for all beneficiaries.
- April 3rd. Social Security payment for retirees before May 1977.
- April 9th. To get the payment on this day, you must have received a check since after May 1997, as well as having a birthday between the 1st and 10th of any month.
- April 16th. This payment is for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- April 23rd. The last payment in April is for retirees after May 1997 with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month.
Remember that the date we see on this calendar is the day the Administration will mail the cheque to retirees. Whether or not you get your money on the same day depends on whether you have Direct Deposit enabled. This form of collecting is quick, so you don’t have to wait to get your retirement funds.
It is crucial to note that the kind of retirement makes no difference, since both disability retirees and age retirees may get the payout provided they fall into one of the aforementioned categories. Only the year of retirement and the day of birth count for establishing which Social Security group we belong to.
