Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. — According to police, one person died and another was hospitalized after a fiery crash on Highway 252 in Brooklyn Park on Saturday morning.
Shortly before 7:30 a.m., Brooklyn Park police and firefighters responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of 252 and 80th/Humboldt Ave.
They discovered that the vehicle involved had caught fire, and motorists who arrived at the scene were able to rescue two victims from the burning wreckage.
According to police, one person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the other was pronounced dead at the scene.
Highway 252 remained closed for several hours while the scene was investigated and cleaned up.
State troopers also responded and will assist with the investigation.
