A restaurant in St. Paul will close permanently

ST PAUL, Minnesota — The Apostle Supper Club in St. Paul will soon disappear, just as it sought to recreate the past.

“It was never just a restaurant. It had been a long-held dream for over two decades. “A space inspired by faith and filled with the music, laughter, and memories of countless meals shared together,” said owner and chef Brian Ingram in a Facebook post announcing the restaurant’s closure.

The club’s permanent closure will take effect on June 1, according to the post.

The restaurant was known for its retro atmosphere, which included mid-century upholstered chairs, custom light fixtures, and Sinatra classics played live by a pianist in the center of the first room.

Ingram cited several reasons for the restaurant’s apparent abrupt closure, including a downtown core he considers to be “in crisis” and public safety events that he claims impacted his team.

“This is not giving up. “It’s taking a painful, honest look at what’s working—and what’s not,” Ingram wrote in the post.
