Saint Paul, Minnesota – The Saint Paul Police Department (SPPD) reported that a woman was killed in a home in the North Frogtown neighborhood on Friday morning, and they are looking for a suspect.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Edmund Avenue around 11 a.m. after receiving a 911 call from that location.
Officers entered the home and discovered an unharmed 2-year-old child, followed by a dead woman. Based on her body’s “trauma,” police determined that it was a homicide. Officers are searching for a person of interest known to the victim. The two-year-old is thought to be the victim’s child.
“It affects not only the family, but the entire community, and I know that family and community are beginning to gather,” SPPD Sergeant Toy Vixayvong said. “It’s a very unfortunate incident for everyone.”
This marks the third homicide in Saint Paul in 2025. According to the SPPD, there were eight cases this time last year.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the SPPD Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650.
