Burning Brothers Brewing is closing at the end of the week, which is heart wrenching.

ST PAUL, Minnesota — A popular gluten-free beer spot in the Twin Cities is closing its doors.

Burning Brothers Brewing has announced on social media that it will cease operations this Saturday after 11 years in the Hamline-Midway neighborhood.

“After much consideration, deliberation, discussion, and many difficult heartfelt conversations, we have reached the heartbreaking conclusion that we will be unable to continue operations.

The factors influencing this decision are numerous, complex, and varied, and we have worked hard to avoid getting to this point, but alas, the day we had hoped to avoid has arrived,” the social media post states.

Burning Brothers Brewery was founded by two friends, Dane and Thom, who were professional fire eaters at events such as the Renaissance Festival, according to their website. After Dane was diagnosed with celiac disease, they started home brewing and specialized in gluten-free beers.

In a follow-up social media post, Burning Brothers stated that they hope to have all of their beer in tanks packaged for one final shipment to the distributor before operations end on Saturday.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all for your patronage, participation, and unwavering support over the past decade. We say it all the time, but none of this would have been possible without you, our community. Best regards from everyone at Burning Brothers.”
